Thanks to our 2013 Donors

Trees for Troops couldn't happen each year without the generous farms and retail lots who donate trees. Thank you to everyone who contributed their time, money, resources and support to the 2013 Trees for Troops program. View the 2013 Tree Donor List.

Trees for Troops 2014 is Under Way!
Imagine a smiling group of U.S. troops gathered around a Christmas Tree that was grown on an American farm and express shipped to arrive fresh and green somewhere on the other side of the world, just in time for Christmas. Or, imagine a spouse and children sharing joyous memories of Christmas through the gift of free, real Christmas Tree while their family member is away serving our country. Trees for Troops® makes this vision a reality!

Kickoff and International Shipment
The 2014 program will kick off on Tuesday, November 18, at Dull's Tree Farm in Thorntown, Indiana. The event will be filled with excitement as FedEx volunteers, Indiana Department of Agriculture, Indiana Christmas Tree growers and local FFA students will help organize, pack and load approximately 200-300 trees to be shipped to U.S. troops stationed overseas.

Trees for Troops Weekend, Dec. 5-7, 2014
Consumers can be a part of this wonderful program by visiting one of the farms or retail lots across the country that will be participating in Trees for Troops Weekend this year.  Each of these locations will have a FedEx trailer parked at their farm/lot so you can purchase a tree and then place it on the truck to be donated and delivered to a military family at one of our participating bases the following week. Stay tuned for a list of current Trees for Troops Weekend participants to be listed soon!

U.S. Base Deliveries
This year, Trees for Troops hopes to deliver more than 17,000 trees in total with a majority of those going to military families stationed at military installations across the U.S.  The deliveries will take place at 60+ bases covering every branch of the armed services.  Bases are in the process of being "signed up" with the program, with permission from their branch of service. A complete delivery schedule will be posted as soon as it is available.

About Trees for Troops
Trees for Troops, a program of the Christmas SPIRIT Foundation, provides farm-grown Christmas Trees to armed forces members and their families in the U.S. and stationed overseas. Through cash contributions, donated Christmas Trees, the work of many volunteers, and the generous support of our shipping sponsor FedEx, Trees for Troops has brought the true spirit of Christmas to thousands of deserving service men and women and their families. Since 2005, Trees for Troops has provided more than 139,000 Christmas Trees to military families and troops in the United States and overseas. Each year, thousands of Christmas Tees are donated by American farm families and the public, and FedEx delivers these trees to more than 60 military bases.

Thank you for your support, and Merry Christmas!
